Heather received her Bachelors degree in Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX, and completed her Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, TX.

Heather is a Certified Member of ASHA, and ASHA’s SIG 13 Dysphagia Group. Over the last eight years, Heather has worked as a medical SLP in various medical facilities. Heather has been dedicated in providing the most innovative therapy to the dysphagia population.

According to the American Speech-Language Hearing Association’s (ASHA) clinical competencies, Heather has been trained to perform the FEES competently and independently. She received training from Carolina Speech Pathology, Emily Nelson, MA, CCC-SLP, of Nelson Mobile FEES, and further training and consultation from SEC Medical with Kathy Fitzgerald, MS, CCC-SLP and Kay A. Neilson, MA, MEd. Heather was trained through lecture, observation, and passing of the scope/completing the FEES procedures in many clinical settings.

Heather resides in Midland, Texas with her husband and two children. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and Texas Tech football.
